PhD in Biotechnology, Tashkent Agriculture University, Uzbekistan
Chairman & Managing Director, Anipra Impex Ltd.
Dr. Anil Kumar is a visionary entrepreneur and academic with over 29 years of experience in international business and agriculture. He holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the Academy of Science, Tashkent Agriculture University, and is now a Professor at his alma mater — teaching courses in agriculture-related subjects. He founded Anipra Impex Ltd. in 1990 with a clear mandate: to build enduring international trade bridges in the agriculture sector.
In 1992, following Uzbekistan's independence, Anipra Impex became the first international company to be registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan — a historic milestone. The company invested USD 10 million between 1992–1997, establishing factories for tea packaging, biscuit manufacturing, detergents, and carbide production, along with custom-bonded warehouses and a private 350-room hotel.
Dr. Kumar's enterprise has served the World Bank (Shopping Procurement Method), the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Privatisation Committee of Uzbekistan, TATA, Reliance Industries, Air India, Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Standard Chartered, Black & Decker, Nasdaq-listed entities, and numerous MNCs. In 1998, Anipra Impex was a member of the advisory committee for the TRACECA Silk Road Programme.
